I was employed at Comatrol (Sauer Danfoss then Comatrol, now a stand a loan business unit of Danfoss Power Solutions). The poor management outsourced all the maintenance and I ended up losing my job as a Contract Engineer doing all the plant layouts and equipment moves. Very poor management from the top down. The Production Manager got his job by his friendship with a former VP. No college degree, but in charge of Engineers and Production, way out of his element but has the site manager fooled. Very poor manager, along with the others in Leadership positions. Some really good people have been let go in the name of flexing fixed cost. Overall business is very weak. Continued loss of market share. John Deer: gone, Genie, numerous quality problems, CAT Paving- quality issues, but people keep getting cut and the same management is in place saying it will be ok, don't worry. I would not recommend Comatrol to anyone, please read the other reviews on this site. They are dead on. Advice to Management at Danfoss Power Solutions - Clean house of all your Leadership team in Easley and start over. Too many good people are gone. Only if you are Danish or friends with other VP's do you have a chance of staying. Poor poor poor company and Leadership.

Stay away. There is no management in this facility in Easley. They get rid of everyone who tries to make it better or make room for their foreign comrades. Production Manager got his position because he was friends with the previous VP, no college degree, makes fun of everyone and gets away with coming in late and leaving early and taking two hour lunches. ME Engineering Lead covers for him. Director of Operations is afraid to go on the floor or say anything to effect his bonus. Site VP is Danish and is never in the plant. his daughter works for the on site staffing company. They get rid of older workers to higher younger lower salary people. It is not ethical. Stay away.

Process & Production

If you want a short term job that pays well with very poor management and not top leadership, this is your company. If you are into the "good ole boy" system that promotes people with no degrees or experience into production and Engineering management then expect all others to have degrees, This is your organization. if you want to loose all your vacation due to cost cutting measures and take time off without pay because you are making double digit EBIT and not the there percent higher expectations from the parent company, this is your place. If you want declining sales each year and "fixed cost" employee headcount reductions each year, this is your place. I would not recommend this organization or management to anyone

I was a long term employee until the powers to be decided to outsource the entire Maintenance group and let us all go along with others in the company as a cost savings measure. Only to turn around and hire younger lower cost employees. it does not seem right what they are doing in the name of cost reduction. The previous reviews were correct. Very poor upper management, favorites played in all areas. Stay away if you want a long term job. Management can not be trusted. A company making double digit EBIT and laying people off for younger entry level workers is just wrong.
